I hate to sound ignorant, but where is the serial number located on the gun? The only numbers I see are CPR30 stamped just below the hammer mechanism. Is this the serial number? That number is also on the case ...1G 5000. So, W is the PMR 30 ID code. digit 2 and 3 is the base number ie; 0F = 1500 , 1F =4900, 1L=5500 etc. digit 4 and 5 are the last 2 digits of the number , 01 thru 99.Weapon Background. I had not realized that wearing a new shirt while shooting the Sub 2000 was not a good idea. Apparently especially if you are shooting left handed.However its a 2 stamp gun as currently set up. One for the SBR and the second for the can. As for heat build up, I'm just anticipating it to be a warm one. The SBR AR is 9mm also with a barrel the same length as the Sub2000 and it gets pretty warm. The whole reason there is a vertical fore grip on it.Pull the charging handle and carrier a little to the rear and look at the face of the gas piston that was hidden by the carrier channel in battery. If you see a spring running from piston face back under the front of the carrier channel, it is a Second gen.
