Unfortunately, after promising Homekit support more than three years ago ( announced in 2016) they have been unable to deliver on their commitment to their customers. Fortunately, HomeAssistant can help us to deal with some of the pain.

I like the ring notifications better because they are a couple of seconds quicker then the HomeKit notifications and ring has the snapshot feature. The benefit of Ring Alarm is that it communicates on its own (Z-Wave) with all the sensors and HomeKit is only used to control the Alarm State as well to use Ring Sensors as a trigger for other HomeKit equipment.
