You could focus on Geomancer with someone if you desire. There are a few skills that knockdown enemies and perhaps the most over powered skill (Pyroclastic Eruption) is there as well. I find it very helpful to put enough points into Polymorph to use Chameleon Cloak. I also use two skills to jump (usually Cloak and Dagger and Tactical Retreat).

Pyroclastic eruption is 300% of base damages, so it's indeed really powerfull, but considering it costs 3 sources points and 3 AP, it's understandable that it deals so much.
