But I have had discussion with Sig CS in the past that indicated a standard mil-spec trigger would work as well. I have two MCX Virtus rifles, both with the Sig 2 stage trigger.

You need to clamp the barrel as close to the device as possible or use a barrel extention bar that locks the lugs. This is also the case with MCX/Virtus upper receivers and Legacy handguards. The MCX XTN is precision machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with black Anodize. I think 6.75" is the best all round size for MCX .300B. It's only slightly longer than the Rattler, but better ballistics. Now a high quality AR-15 in 5.56 from one of the big manufacturers is fool proof reliable. MCXs in .300 blackout are definitely not. Everything in the SIG MCX lower parts kit works for an AR15 lower except the the right side mag release button due to it being over sized in the MCX kit.
