2011 lml, no crank and no start. While driving the truck I hit a small pothole in the pavement and the engine died, would crank but no start. Disconnected the batteries for several minutes, then reconnected batteries but still no start. Had crank position sensor code, crank but no start. Replaced sensor and charged up the batteries.Then you will bump the starter motor over leaving it in on position (even if it cranks itself for a while). Crank no start but will…. 2015 Chevy 2500 with 6.6 duramax. Crank no start but will start on ether and run fine. Hand pump will build pressure but it bleeds off pretty quick. Ran a hose from external tank directly to injection pump and still wouldn’t build enough pressure to start. The injection pump has been replaced.

Got a 12 LML crank no start with actual meeting desired rail pressure. Just a few things. I feel I have check everything. Here is what I know. It has a new left rail with from GM, so new pressure sensor and FPR #2. Has a Fleece lift pump supplying lots of volume to pump. I have a good verified with scope cam and crank signal.

Leaving for vacation in 2 days. I just replaced the fpr on my 2013 duramax LML with a kyntex upgraded regulator (better screen). Install went smooth. Went to start the truck up and crank no start. I then bled the air out at the filter housing. No start. Then bled the Schrader valve. Some air came out. Still no luck. No visible or audible air leaks.

Change the fuel filter often, the Duramax fuel system is fed by suction from the fuel tank and the slightest filter plugging will starve and overwork the fuel pump. The newer 17 models finally use a fuel boost pump to correct the starve issue. I know I’m a little answering this, but thanks to all for the advise.

If the Injection Pump Fuse blew it would cause loss of communication. Sounds a lot like the old Cummins VP44 issue. Remove the egr valve. U don't not need to remove alot.of stuff. Remove the hose coming off the pressure regulator number 2 and plug it off on the return hose side. If you got fresh fuel in the can, and the stock filter is in place, change the filter on the truck, pour 911 in the new filter and some in the 5 gallon container. Run the supply tube from the pump into the can and start priming the fuel through until you get a good stream. Loss of power, stuck in gear, hard shifts especially going Into reverse. I believe a bad tcm can also cause a no crank aswell but not 100% sure on this.
