I haven't tried Tradovate, but Ninja Trader is good. Normally $500 margin for daytrading index e-minis, $50 /contract for micros, double right now due to the high volatility. Very customizable and as fuzzyp44 mentioned, lots of people develop features, add-ons, custom indicators, etc.

Or you just want broker recommendations? I use Tradovate for scalping because of low commissions, low margins, cool tools, and multiple easy bracket setups. It is a lot lighter on chart studies than most platforms, but you can use Tradovate with TradingView for charts, if that's your thing. Let's compare Tradovate and TD Ameritrade, for example.

Tradovate has god awful charting imo. Ninja Trader is expensive af, you pay $1k for the lifetime version and they only offer a demo of the leased version, so not even a demo of all the features. On top of that, it's got bad performance. I've had it crash multiple times during my demo and I have a good computer.
