It keeps things cold and frozen just fine. I miss the swing-open bottom freezer because of not having storage in the door. I can't imagine why there is no slot in the fridge door for an egg carton. The ice maker doesn't disgorge many cubes with each cycle but with just two of us it keeps up. For a full family I would have doubts.
