Oct 1, 2017 · IMO the main issue is simply that the default UI was always pretty bad. SkyUI's item menus would be a clear step up in terms of usability. Also, the HUD of Skyrim VR and Skyrim SE for that matter is absolutely terrible.

It uses Elder Scrolls Plugin file. This means that load order comes to play. The problem you are describing is usually not happening because of poor order, but there are rare cases where overwriting scripts have made SkyUI unable to properly detect SKSE. To fix this problem, make sure that your load order is set by LOOT.Ps.
