sixHB. • 3 yr. ago. No other app can capture the emotions, intensity, and courage that Habitica is able to obtain. Take a look at other less intense sports such as Soccer, Basketball, and Football. None of these have given us the same emotions as Habitica. There is no alternative to habitica that is even remotely close to it.

You just endlessly level up and collect tons of mounts and pets - the majority of which, once you've picked one to use, you can't do anything with. I’m in it to max out the pets now. It also helps to be in a steady group. Not sure if things have changed in last 5 years, but I've seen no indication of such. Can always read the privacy policy. I've been self-hosting Habitica for a while, but I hadn't heard of 'shabitica' which looks much better for a self-hosted given what is offered via that fork. It's too bad it hasn't been kept up. I know this is somewhat subjective, but for a player that wants to experience/complete all aspects of the game solo in a reasonable amount of time, there are two choices: Rogue/mage. Rogue/warrior. And by Rogue/mage I mean you start as either a rogue or mage, and then switch to the other class later. Why? Since installing the app, I have had one of the most productive years of my life, my reputation in my place of work has improved noticeably, and I have been immensely more consistent in eating properly and getting physical exercise.
