I will be spending 3 weeks in a small rural town with a planet fitness. Right now it looks like a pretty bad deal. There is a $1 down deal right now, but it still comes out to ~$60/month with the monthly fee and annual fee combined. My membership back home is less than half that for a far nicer gym with higher quality equipment and amenities.
