3350 posts · Joined 2010. #5 · Jul 16, 2013. My 1oz load in Rem is 22g Blue Dot with SP20. My 1oz load in Fed is Long shot with 20S1. I really don't think you'll have an issue. The F1 wads are out-of-print, so I haven't used them. In 7/8 loads Rem wads with Win case and vice versa works the best. Like.WARNING. I also loaded them in the Old Rem RXP cases with the CCI209 primer and everything else the same. This load was at 1165fps, 9,800psi. These loads came straight out of the IMR manual and I loaded them for over 25yrs. No this wad isn't the same as the SP20 wad. The SP20 wad is a 1oz wad and the W23678 wad was a 7/8oz wad. The 20 gauge Remington hulls that used Rem 57 primers need an RP-20 wad. Harder to find than a RXP20 wad. There were 12 gauge pre-All-American hulls (mostly fiber based, a few with a white plastic "base") that used those primers. They need the RPA12 wad (original "Power Piston") or the Red AA wad or clone.

Powder cup diam measures in between the true straight hull wads and the AA/DRV wads. SP20's are a bit pricey, but the volume of these will be limited vs. the more dedicated target loads. I shoulda bought some RXP's to add to inventory. They cost a bit more than clones, but still reasonable.
