I have placed the new battery and the problem remains the same, to leave the bone to start the march I put 1st, then 2nd and to place 3rd goes to 5th, automatically makes the same fault, my cuatri is Honda rancher 420 4x4 AT ES , when I made 2 or 3 kilometers everything is normal, I have already changed the fat and I have cleaned all the chips and the fault persists.

Usually when you can't shift through the gears with the manual shifter, that means it's not an electrical problem, but a problem with the shift linkage or the transmission itself. Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!!Fix the ES if its broken. I was completely anti ES. My wife bought the Recon ES and at first I was like this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen! Then I fell in love with it and went out and bought a Rancher 420ES. I love it! I feel like its having the ease of an Auto 4 wheeler but with the reliability and toughness of a foot shift.

Took it back off, and made sure the transmission would shift using the 8mm stub sticking out of the front of the engine (where the emergency shifter goes). Finally had enough of the ES on our '04 Rancher. Basically my plan is to remove remove the shift gears on the front crankcase over and then replace the shifter shaft with one from a manual shift rancher, and add a standard shift lever.
