Created using primarily the official blu-ray, then adding DVD, laserdisc, etc. pieces as needed, these versions were designed to mimic what an official blu-ray release might look like. It has all of the film grain and inconsistent colors you would have seen in theaters. Unfortunately only the original and return of the jedi are finished. But they are pretty close to being done with empire. That being said Harmy's despecialized editions are a lot cleaner looking. They are generally sharper and have more detail.Harmy's DeSpecialized Editions are recreations made using the Blu-Ray as a primary source, with some shots from the GOUT, Laserdisc, and VHS tapes edited in, and a variety of audio options.
