The manual that came with 455 rifles called for the barrel grub screws to be torqued at 5 n-m which is about 45 inch pounds. No need to remove them (the mag screw is threaded into the bolt guide), just loosen them a bit. With those screws loosened and also backing the bolt out a bit will allow the bolt guide to move up enough to allow the small extension on the bottom of the barrel to slide under the bolt guide.
