Nov 10, 2021 · The RAB disable button in a new Outback looks exactly like the Ascent's RAB disable button, except the Outback RAB disable button permanently disables RAB until the driver manually re-enables it. This leads me to believe Subaru has the ability to fix the Ascent's RAB safety problem via a software update.
RAB disabled in below-freezing weather--2020 Outback. On a couple mornings when it's below 32F (about 30F or so) I will get a warning that RAB is disabled as soon as I shift into reverse.
