As of July 15th, 2014, NinjaTrader can no longer offer new license keys to trade with generic Rithmic. In order to use NinjaTrader with generic Rithmic, you would need to have a live license key prior to that date. Looks like 50 cents for micros for NT vs 47 cents on Tradovate, for their highest plan. But Ninja has a 'buy' option for the highest tier, like 1K and change, where Tradovate doesn't, you'll need to pay $199 per month. The futures commissions on tda are nasty indeed. ~$5 per contract round trip. Terrible. But I like the interface and I think using ActiveTrader is easier and more intuitive than most other platforms I’ve tried. I’m currently trading MES on IB’s TWS platform and only paying about a buck per contract round trip.
