Kimber pro carry vs ultra carry.
Regardless of what you decide, let us know how it works out. I'm about to trade up to a Kimber and I'm inclined to go with the Pro Carry because the 4" barrel may be a little more reliable and it has full-sized grip. I've carried Colt Officer sized and Colt Full-sized in the past. Carry a 4" Springfield right now and feel it is a good compromise.

The primary thing I think was they reduced the amount of the carry melt treatment a little. As has been mentioned, the KimPro finish can be okay or not so good. I purchased a used Super Carry Ultra that had obvious dings and scratches on the slide finish. Sent it to the Mothership for a complete rebuild, including a slide refinish. Cost for the refinish: $110 for what now looks to be a brand new slide. Nice.

I own both the P938 and a Kimber Ultra Carry CDP II. Two vastly different guns, difficult to compare. Personally I find the Kimber a tad too much to carry and a bit finicky as many 1911's tend to be. On the other hand reliability of the P938 is questionable.
