The BCCG grading scale is ridiculous, take a look at the grading scale used: 10 is mint or better, 9 is near mint or better and 8 is excellent or better. I believe it costs less for that service than the BGS service.

That is the million dollar question. BCCG is a joke. Their "10" is defined as "Mint or Better". Their "9" is "Near Mint or Better". What a joke. I'll make it easy for you. 99% of the cards submitted to BCCG are from dealers that know the cards would be 8's-9's in BGS or PSA slabs.
