Tradestation's monthly $150 activity penalty TS charges if you don't top 4999 shares traded just about eliminated them for me on first read. A fixed monthly penalty vs some annual number is a pretty big negative in my view as trading conditions do change ... sometimes significantly.

Ninja Trader has an excellent charting platform and low margin rates. The downside is to take advantage of the full charting software you need to give them $1,000. Another disadvantage of ninja Trader is you only get two free withdrawals per month and after that they charge you plus there is a minimum of $250 per withdrawal.
