#1. Hello, While investigating the cause of poor running issues / top end noise on our 4020 we found significant wear in the valve adjuster / pushrod region on some of the cylinders. Further inspection revealed that the rear facing plug in the rocker arm shaft had shifted, cutting off the oil supply to a good portion of the top end.

A, 1965 cockshutt 40, I have a 4020 that ran really well up until November. It starts good , but idles rough and when you put it under load it stalls. If you pull the choke out it will come back to life and run OK. if you feather the choke back in, it will drive around OK in lower gear.
