Honeywell hz311 zone 3 red light.
The strange thing is that at the HZ311 zone panel, zone 1 light stays green when the HVAC is in ANY mode (heat, cool, fan OR idle) but the zones 2 & 3 lights switch to Red when the system call for heat, cool OR fan. The damper actuators are currently connected to zone 1 so they are constantly fed 24VAC when in cool, heat, fan OR idle… SO!
Post Likes. If you have 2 different zones calling for 2 different modes, 1 for heat and 1 for ac. The system will purge between calls. Also some zoning will purge for a period of time after a call for either heating or cooling. Have to look in the installation manual to see what the sequence of operation is for any particular zoning control.Call or text 888-757-4774. I have Honeywell HZ311 and trying to install Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen. The upstairs installation went well. The old thermostat had 5 wires (Yellow, White, Green, Blue, and Red).
As stated previously, I don't think the H311 panel can be configured like this. I think your options are to replace the thermostat(s) with ones that allow the thermostat to turn on the fan on a call for heat or swap the panel to a Honeywell HZ322 which can be configured to your application.
