My '18 has 18,300 on it and I was getting codes P0106 for "manifold absolute pressure" followed shortly there after by an unclearable P00C7. Mileage improved a little and I have never reset my 2nd mileage meter which reads 16.2 mpg for the average life of the truck with say 55% city and 35% highway and 10% towing.

The L5p was a very small exhaust side configuration, small up pipes, small exhaust turbo vanes, etc. So I am guessing the ECM was seeing some very high EGT’s and cut power to keep from melting pistons. This VSE unit IMO is best since there is filtration AFTER the WIF sensor. Single filter L5P aftermarket units the WIF sensor is on the 'clean' side of the filter....if the water light comes on then it's too late. Stock filter has 2 sets of filter media in it, main one before the WIF and a secondary filter bit after the sensor.
