I would check the "C" wire first. If you are in over your head, have an AC/Heat specialist come out and debug things. I would not be surprised if the problem was somewhere other than the Ecobee :-). Bridge the RC and G wire, if you hear the fans the furnace has power. Don't touch Rc to C whatever you do.
