Duramax ticking noise.

At long last GM contacted me yesterday and advised that they are working on a repair for the throbbing/knocking sound a lot of 2020 Duramax owners are currently experiencing. They advised that the Dealership will be in touch with me when they have a repair bulletin.2023 6.6 NOISE QUESTION. Hey guys, just bought my 1st NEW Duramax (EVER) and have a question. Apr 9, 2019 · New to the forum and new to Diesels! I just bought my first Diesel and its an 04 LB7 with 156k on it. Truck needs some work but thats not the issue.. While test driving I noticed a ticking sound from 1100 rpm till short of 3000rpm. If I´m flooring it it goes away and nothing at idle or very light acceleration. The proper repair for that is to replace all of the high presure fuel side and flush the low pressure side. A failure of the hpfp sends tiny little metal bits into the fuel injectors damaging them. Sounds like it coming from oil filter location. it does not do it all the time, just kinda comes and goes. I used 10 qts of Rotella T and a ACDelco filter.

Apr 12, 2013 · Truck developed a ticking noise shortly after. The noise seems to be on the drivers side to the rear of the engine. Sounds loudest in the wheel well. Its not really loud but I can hear it from several feet away. The only other thing I have noticed is a slight vibration in my foot on the throttle that is only present when going about 45 mph.
