Early ones had a serial number of N800000 through N900000. Later in 1983, or perhaps beginning in 1984, the serial numbers began using a three letter prefix. Regardless, yours is narrowed down to early to mid-1980s.

Either way, it looks as if you model 19 was produced between 1970-72. The model 19 is a blued or nickled 6 shot K frame chambered in .357 Magnum.
