Not a method of telling/denoting the time. The 24hr clock is used worldwide and is worth learning. It's absolutely not a military thing. It should a toggle to change to am/pm in settings under display. Here's a trick. If you see 16:00 on your watch, subtract two from the secondary number an there's your time.
