I've owned a few watches with yellow lume and I think some tones are nicer than others (for example, the new Doxa anniversary models and Panerai models' yellow are nicer than the brown used by Omega). I like the use and don't understand why people don't see it as a design choice.If you're interested in lume then get a Seiko. Even my least expensive Seiko 5 dress watch ($50 BNIB) beats nearly any other watch brand for standard lume brightness and duration. Now, Lume does seem to "wear out" over time (I have a few watches that once had wonderful lume, now barely last 45 minutes). The best test is to just charge and try. I'll try to get some shots later, but to note quickly, I think you'll be happy with the Sinn lume on a 356 if you like Seiko's light-up-the-deep diver lume. Then, especially for vintage watches used to use tritium paint, lume will age and not functional. Signs of yellowing and some might have cracks and missing paints.
