My 2.0 engine and automatic Soul revs at about 1300-1500 rpm at start up and then will drop to about 1000 rpm after a few minutes of idling no matter the temperature. I always thought this range was normal.Yes, it is fixed. I haven't had any problems for days, and runs and idles perfectly. Even gets better economy than it used to. Sadly, I don't need it much anymore, since buying the new Kia Soul.
