2019 CX 5 GT-R. I put a hockey puck on the lift point of my floor jack but I secured it by running a countersunk bolt through it. I only use the jack on the jacking points illustrated by yrwei52. One of these days I'll buy the adapters for the pinch weld jacking points.

For your future reference when jacking, the mazda pinch weld is strong enough to use outside of the designated jacking points. Preferably have a jack that can reach a better jacking point, but if you don't, just jack it close to the intended jacking point, and then slip the stand in the designated ...rated at 3 tons each. FRONT JACKING POINT is the front cross member and you can place the stands just INSIDE the sciccor jack locations ( the part that looks like this ___/--*--\___ , the star is where one would center the spare jack) in order to jack the car up, one would have to drive up on a 2x4 or 2 in order to have clearance in the front.As you suggested I lift one side, place the stand under the weld, do the other side. Only front or back, never both. In my gen 1 there is a area just behind the tires, a little rectangle for the jack to fit into. I don't know if you are planning on using the scissor jack to lift the vehicle from the cross-member, but I thought I'd just throw it out there that the scissor jack is only to be used on the pinch weld. The top of the scissor jack would be too unstable on a cross-member. You should be using a floor jack if you want to jack up at the cross-member.
